Janet Brazzil began working as a Patient Advocate at Houston Methodist on February of 2001. She works directly with patients and their families to assist in solving problems and issues they may have. She serves as a liaison between patients, families and hospital administration. Responds to patient and family inquires, and works closely with the emergency department, nursing units, case managers, social workers, physicians, and chaplains in addressing patient needs and concerns. She also serves on several committees at the hospital: Guest Relations System Council, The Methodist Experience Conference, Patient Satisfaction, Sacred Works, American Diabetes Association, United Way Co-Chair, American Heart Association, Stride4Stroke, Schwartz Rounds, ED Patient Satisfaction, Infection Control, and the Safety Officer for the department. She has been a member of TAPS for 10 years and has served on the TAPS Board of Directors in 2012-2017. She has worked at Houston Methodist San Jacinto Hospital for 16 years a Patient Advocate. She was honored to receive the Anna Mary Lindsey award in 2012. Her current role is Secretary.
