Anna Mary Lindsey Award PDF Print
TAPS salutes our 2009 Anna Mary Lindsey recipient-Gerardo DeLeon.  Gerardo is the Manager of Concierge Services for the Ben Taub General Hospital in Houston.  He was recognized for his willingness to serve and promote patient advocacy.  Over the years, Gerardo has worn many hats.  He has been a recent TAPS Education and Membership Director. Gerardo worked diligently to champion membership growth and to promote educational opportunities afforded to members free of charge.   He met his leadership objectives, and volunteered to serve on other TAPS committees as needed.

Gerardo was recognized for effortlessly promoting educational opportunities these past three years.  He has been an invaluable member of three Conference Planning Committees. Moreover, he partnered with community patient advocate leaders, and was instrumental in promoting regional educational programs in San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Lubbock, and El Paso. Gerardo's enthusiasm and innovation paved the way for approximately 250 to 300 TAPS members to participate in free quality regional inservices.

Congratulations Gerardo on reaching two significant career milestones.  Your enthusiasm, commitment, and motivation are appreciated!
